CX State

What a Great event---Salsa tent, Shimano tent & many more even a Mini-Donut stand!!!

They had call-ups in order of registration so that being said I was in front. After not clipping in at the gun I was at about 6th place. Since I run a little, I typically am strong on running the barriers & usually pass people getting over them. I was in 3rd after 1 lap & held on for about another 3/4 of a lap until the conditioning told its own story!! Slowly falling back because of this loud wheezing noise coming out of my mouth because I was trying to get more AIR!! Ended up in 9th place after I drop a chain and ran out of Oxygen!!

Then--Pam & I grabbed the cooler with "bevy's" and enjoyed the events!!

LT100 Movie

Since I hate trainers I decided to go to the replay of the "Race Across the Sky" movie.

I sat in the front row & filmed it on my cell phone but, this is all I could get, me finishing the race with a smile on my face!!

60 degree's

This time of the year Pam & I have 2 guys (Matt & Gene) hunt at our house to clean out the deet to hunt on our er that destroy outr pine trees & apple trees. They sow their appreciation for hunting on our land by giving us a hand on things that need to be done around the house. So on Saturday after racing at the "Velodrome CX" I came home to cut trees because we asked them for help to clear some down trees.

Matt, who heats his house with wood heat, brought over his "industrial level" wood chipper so--after the "Back to School CX" I spent the next 3-hrs chipping buck thorn & other misc branches.

***So far they got a 8 point buck & good size doe***

This is what happens when you have made a choice to have a full time job but, you still try to find time to bike because you enjoy the feedom of the road.

Yes--that means that you have to ride at night!!!

Red Barn CX

Yes, the season has been over but staying up til 3am on Thursday playing cards with the boys then going to a Stag Party at Target Center til 1am on Friday---come-on!!!! Yes I did pay the price on Saturdays Red Barn CX Race


On Sunday I skipped the CX race to recover---maybe!!! I ended up TIVOing the Vikings game & went to Grey Cloud island for 50 mile road ride instead---Good Times

CX-Going Strong--Maybe

This is how I felt on Saturday at the Bikery CX Race at Marine on the St Croix. No power/or energy to speak of. The course was a flat /bumpy/non-technical course--I like and do better on the more technical type courses plus who is kidding who---The Twinkies have been really good lately.

Sundays CX race at the Green Acres tubing location in Lk Elmo was a great course. Not only was there a keg of beer and brats for everyone it was also laid out great.

"Race Across the Sky"

Pam & I went to see this movie with a theatre full of biking peeps--It was a little Lance Armstrong driven but he is Hollywood!! It was pretty good especially the part at the end when they showed me finishing----yep just me on the screen---Autographs anyone???!!??

Tis' the season

Played B-Ball Tues & Thurs and again on Saturday morning in Woodbury. I then got a call about going out to Afton Alps because as everyone knows the trails out there are not rider friendly. So took out the 29'r & met some guys out there to see if anyone had any good ideas on how the layout should be--why me????? There are plans to get trails in the North hillside, behind the main chalet.

Sunday I went over to the Hudson CX event at the YMCA--good times even though it was a rat trap type of race.

Monday went out on the road for a quick 25 miles--I miss it already!!

Well at least I am not sitting around all the time.
