Racing to get into shape!!

I headed over to Corcoran for the first CX race of the year and a race it was--to stay upright & try not to have a heart attack!!

When I got up it was 24 degrees with snow on the grnd--perfect. The 45+ race was at 1:30 so I was confident that it would be dry after other peeps rode out the water in the ground. The course went over alot of grass, which took the energy right out of a person. The bike performed great especially after I threw on a CX crank, which gives the ability to put on smaller rings for hills & more spinning. The Chequamegon was Sept 19th & I have not been on the bike very much at all since then, but it all worked out

Results on my 2X Weekend

The weather conditions kept alot of people away so the numbers were down for Saturdays event but with the temps getting up another 10 degrees for Sunday--Theo Wirth Pk race there were alot more people & racers. There was a group down by the beach that was giving out dollar bills & hand-ups of BEERS. Once you made it through the beach section there was a horrific stair climb that just took everything out of a person.

Have to roll

Later
