Matt E. & I got to the start to lay the bikes down at 6am. To do that we had to get up at 5am because the camp site was over 30 miles away. When we got there 200-300 other peeps already had their bikes layed out. When the gun went off it was "crazy" fast even after I jumpoed on the side walk next to the road to move-up. As soon as we hit Rosies field the pace & riding style was different, different good, everybody got into a pace line & there was no talking. Pam passed me a bottle at "00" & did not even finish that bottle but I was taking in "Shot-Bloks" every 1/2 hr. The training that I did this year---LT100 & the Salsa-24 paid off because I felt strong on the hills & could close gaps in the 30(+) mph pace lines.
I finished 201 out of 1778 overall and 35 out of 326 in my age --GOOD TIMES
