The course was over 2 miles long with 3 possible areas where a person would dismount their bikes. One of the area was a sand pit, which I rode everytime execept the first and last lap. The first lap there was large a crowd and some person went down in front of me so I had to ride over their rear wheel sending me into the air. The last lap I was behind this guy whi decides to dismount and run through the the sand waving his bike like a swimmer catching his rear wheel on my left brake lever--nice!!!! We both go flying in the sand & were passed by a couple of randoms. I swatted my bike back in-line, playing catch up to the best I could. I passed the "runner" & "2 randoms" so it all worked out in the long run. The season is over, my knee hurts like a @#*#$, I am not going to "Jingle-Cross", I am not going to "CX Nationals".
I am going to ride when I can and "Hang loose" and see if I can hit 4,000 before 2009!!
Sand Pit we had to go through on the State course-
