Chequamegon 40

I knew that if a person wanted to get a sensible time in the Cheq-40 you had to get there at the crack of flippin dawn!!! I got there at 7:15, which is as close to dawn I am going to get. I ended cautiously setting my bike in the middle of all the peeps that were not allowed to put their bike in the group until 5:00am--There was not even a start line set-up yet--Cripes!!! There were still some wide bodies & first timers around me--which was scary!
As the roll out of 30(+) mph flies down hwy 77 there is a bad crash but I heard nothing too bad happened to the peeps involved. The Birkie trail is about 30 feet wide but there is only a 1.5 foot worn section that everyone is going for.
