2008 LOON Camp

On Thursday I went down to southern MN to the Loon Team camp for time in the saddle.

The pic is from Sat when the rest of the crew got there, otherwise we were around 19 peeps.

On Thursday I found out there are some very strong riders on the team because I was in the back--way back trying to hang on!! The food is better then home and the roads are quiet and for the most part smooth. A person has the choice of all different choices of different rides, which is great when you don't have much for mileage. Everybody at camp took turns driving the SAG vehicle for about 10-20 miles which was loaded with Gatorade, food and wheels for flats--It worked great.I got in 82 miles

It was a awesome day on Friday 50+ with a good wind on the bluffs which felt good after a 1.3 mile climb to get there. When we were on top of the bluffs going down a hill you would have to pedalto keep going. GOOD TIMES.91 miles for me some guys got in well over a 100.

60+ degrees on Saturday with 25+ mph winds---OUCH. The majority showed up at camp. We hit the road at 10am turning heads when we would roll through a town. 104 miles
